Arthritis Care Awareness Week May 14th-21st, Arthritis Care Awareness Week is a UK based event which raises awareness about arthritis, gathers support for people with this condition, and highlights the work of Arthritis Care, a charity which supports this event. Arthritis is a condition marked by painful inflammation and stiffness of the joints. There are many types of arthritis which can affect a person in different ways.
Arthritis Care is the UK’s largest voluntary arthritis organization. Founded in 1947, a year before the UK’s National Health Service was established, Arthritis Care has, and continues to be, committed to supporting people with arthritis. The charity helps people to understand this condition, and helps to alleviate the pain, isolation and disability which arthritis can bring. As arthritis is a long term incurable condition, Arthritis Care also supports and teaches people how to manage their condition through a self management training program.
